A student is unable to complete the Pre-CAS Questionnaire
The Pre-CAS Questionnaire asks the student a series of questions about their study plans in the UK. They will need to explain why they chose the University and course, list any other universities they considered, and share their plans for living and working in the UK.
Once submitted, answers cannot be edited unless you reset the questionnaire and request that the student completes it again.
Please note: This section can only be completed by the student themselves — agents are not permitted to fill in the Pre-CAS Questionnaire on their behalf.
In the example below, we can see the student still needs to fill out their Pre-CAS Questionnaire. The student cannot move forwards with their CAS request until this section is completed, and this is shown as To Do in the student's view.

In order to progress through each step, the student must complete all questions in the questionnaire. If a question is missed or no answer provided, the student will be unable to move to the next step. In the example below, the student has not filled in the questions asking which other Universities they considered during their research. These are highlighted as not being complete, and therefore the student cannot progress to the next step until this is filled in.

Students will not be stopped from progressing to the next step based on the content of any of their answers. As long as all questions are answered, they can Continue through all steps. In the example below, the student cannot progress because they have not answered the question about travelling between accommodation and campus, not because they have answered No to the question about UKVI Interviews:

Once the questionnaire is finished, a notification will appear as confirmation, directing the student back to their task list.
Once the Pre-CAS Questionnaire is completed, students are unable to go back in to amend any of their answers. This is shown as 'Locked' on their task list.

The only way for a student to redo their questionnaire is if a University user clicks Reset questionnaire on the student record. The questionnaire will then reappear as 'To do' on their task list, where they can repeat the steps above.
