Connecting with Students Through CAS Shield

CAS Shield allows you to streamline communication with students, making it easy to request updates or gather additional details about their documents. With built-in messaging, you can efficiently reach out to students and receive quick responses, ensuring their information is complete and accurate.

NOTE: once a message has been sent, there's no way to revert or delete the message, even on the admin side.


On CAS Shield there is an Open channel, Agent channel and also an 'Add as internal note' button.

In the first tab, 'Open Channel', you can leave a note or send an internal note to a colleague by typing your message and clicking "Add as internal note".

Note: This will not be visible to the student.


On CAS Shield, you can send a message directly to the student. 

In the Open Channel, if you need to send a message to the student, type in your message and click 'Send message'. The student will also be notified via email upon sending the message. If the student has an agent, the agent will be able to view the message in the open channel.


On CAS Shield this is where you can contact Agents.

If the student has an agent assigned to them on CAS Shield, you will be able to contact them using the "Agent" tab. Messages sent through this channel will only be visible by the agent.

Note: If the student doesn't have agent, this tab will not be visible
