How is a student invited for a Video Interview?
Students are invited to complete a video interview through Enroly CAS Shield. This can be set up to run automatically based on your institution's criteria, such as nationality or region. Once invited, a new section will appear in the student's CAS Checklist as an additional task.

The "Recorded Interviews" status column will automatically update to "Invited" as shown in the screenshot below.

During the interview, students record their responses to each question. They are expected to complete the interview in one session. If the interview ends prematurely due to user input or technical issues (e.g., internet failure), the student will resume from where they left off. However, if interrupted again, they must re-record the entire interview. Once completed, the interview cannot be re-recorded unless a new invitation is sent.
Your institution reviews and approves the questions, which are drawn from thematic question banks and automatically randomised to ensure compliance.
Topics covered include:
- UK Study Choices
- Course Understanding
- University Choice Reasoning
- Sector Considerations

Additionally, "trap" questions are included to assess English proficiency and familiarity with personal interests and family life.
