The Offer Timeline

The Timeline is a chronological event feed shown in the sidebar of offer pages in the University view. It gives your team a clear audit trail of what's happened on each offer from application submission through to offer-letter history without needing to go into the full activity log.

The Timeline is offer-specific: each offer has its own independent timeline. It doesn't appear on the Summary page or the Programmes page.

Events recorded

Events are shown in reverse chronological order (newest at the top). Each entry shows a timestamp, an event label, and — where relevant — a link.

Event

When it appears

Notes

Application submitted

When the applicant submitted their application

Always the earliest entry on the timeline

Offer created

When a staff user manually created the offer by adding a new programme

Only logged for staff-created offers, not offers created via applicant submission

Status change

Each time the offer status changes

e.g. Applied → Conditional, Conditional → Unconditional

Offer letter issued

When an offer letter is generated for the first time

Includes a link to open the PDF in a new tab

Offer letter reissued

Each time the offer letter is regenerated

Each version is preserved separately — clicking the link opens that specific historical version, not the latest

Sidebar behaviour

When the Timeline is present, the Applicant Details panel collapses by default to give the timeline more space. Four fields stay visible without expanding:

  • Student Number
  • Fee Status
  • Student Visa
  • Nationality

Select Show more to expand the full Applicant Details panel.

What's included

The Timeline records the events listed above application submission, offer creation, status changes, and the full offer-letter issue/reissue history.
